We are hiring two people.

A licensed electrolysis technician and a licensed hair stylist, at 450 Livingston St in Norwood. Full-time or part-time, paid hourly. Both roles are open now.

Why here

The thing worth knowing before you read the roles: we are appointment-only and we never double-book. That is not a slogan aimed at clients, it is how the floor actually runs, and it is the difference between finishing your work and running three chairs at once.

The studio is small, private and quiet, on the second floor at 450 Livingston St. The salon has served Norwood since 2016, most of that time as BuonGiorno Good Day Spa, so there is an established book of clients rather than a room you have to fill from nothing.

The basics

  • Hourly pay, full-time or part-time.
  • Tue–Sat · 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Closed Sunday & Monday, so two days off together and no Sundays.
  • Never double-booked. One client at a time, start to finish.
  • Private rooms for treatment work.
  • A small team, not a chair-rental floor.

Open role

Electrolysis technician

Electrolysis is the only FDA-recognized permanent hair removal, and it is one of the least rushed things we do. You would work one to one in a private treatment room, on your own schedule of appointments, with the time each follicle actually takes.

What you would be doing

  • Treating clients one follicle at a time in a private room
  • Running free initial consultations and building honest treatment plans
  • Facial areas (brows, upper lip, chin, jawline) and body areas
  • Working across every hair color and skin tone, including gray, blonde and red
  • Keeping to sterile, single-use probes for every session

What you need

  • A current New Jersey electrology license
  • Comfort talking clients through a plan before they commit to anything
  • Care about hygiene as a habit, not a checklist

Open role

Hair stylist

We never double-book, which changes the job more than anything else on this page. Your client is yours from consultation to blow-dry. Color is not left processing while you start someone else, and cuts get finished rather than abandoned at the ten-minute mark.

What you would be doing

  • Precision cutting for all hair types and textures
  • Dimensional color, balayage, highlights, gray coverage and gloss
  • Blowouts and special-occasion styling
  • Keratin and smoothing treatments
  • Consultations that start every first color visit

What you need

  • A current New Jersey cosmetology license
  • A point of view on cutting and color that you can explain to a client
  • Willingness to send people home knowing how to redo the look themselves

Pay and hours

Both roles are hourly, and both can be full-time or part-time. We would rather work the exact rate and schedule out with you directly than post a number that turns out not to fit what you bring, so tell us what you are looking for when you get in touch.

How to apply

Email hi@lavantbeauty.com with a short note about yourself, your license, and whether you are after full-time or part-time. A portfolio or an Instagram is welcome and not required.

Or call (201) 768-7700, leave a message saying which role you are calling about, and we will call you back.

Come and see the place first.

If you are weighing it up, come in and look at the studio before you decide. It is a quieter room than most salons and it is easier to judge in person than from a job ad.
